The Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol / South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), is the international governing body for men’s (M) and women’s 
association football, futsal and beach soccer in South America. CONMEBOL was officially established in 1916 in Montevideo, Uruguay; its current head office is in Luque, Paraguay.
CONMEBOL organizes and regulates club-level competitions and national team competitions in South America. Among the national team competitions organized by CONMEBOL are the Copa América and the Copa América Femenina, both of which are held every four years.
The official languages of CONMEBOL are Portuguese and Spanish.
