News: Nigerian Football Federation Leadership Resigns Amid Corruption Probe

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president, general secretary and executive committee have all resigned amid a probe into concerns over governance and financial management. Outgoing president, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, announced his resignation at press conference in Abuja on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The federation will hold general elections next month to replace its president.

Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu, has ordered a “comprehensive reform” of the country’s football administration to correct “structural deficits within the system.”
